What made the 747 upper deck feel special to you?

I still think the upper deck worked because it felt like a threshold rather than just another cabin zone. You climbed into a smaller world with different light and quieter movement.

Would love to hear from crew who worked both the main deck and upper deck during the same service period.

The mood changed immediately after the stairs. Even when the service standard was similar, passengers behaved like they had entered a private room.
