Legend Airlines flew an all business service using 56 seat DC-9s. It flew to four cities in the spring of 2000. Dallas Love Field was their hub city. Service was first offered to Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, CA, and Las Vegas, NV and then joined by New York City. By using 56 pax aircraft it was able to circumvent the Wright Ammendment allowing it to fly nonstop to the contiguous states to Texas. Legend even built its own terminal and parking structure at Love, which resembled an executive FBO. American used all first class F-100s in competition with Legend, which coupled with the weakening economy, contributed to the airline's shutdown in December, 2000.
