In 1964, United's first 727 began service on February 6th between San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Denver with Chicago coming on line a week later. The last DC-7s were retired in the Summer of '64. As indicated on the cover, UA introduced the first 3 Class service on a single aircraft, using the transcon DC-8s.
