Founded in 1923, Aeroflot was for many years the world's largest airline with operations encompassing all civil aviation in the Soviet Union. its service and safety record were absolutely horrendous. With the demise of the Soviet Union, the airline shrunk dramatically but began a program toward substantial improvement. This included adding Western equipment such as the 737, 767, 777, and A310; replacing the Illusions, Anotovs, and Tupelovs. A striking new silver livery, ala Virgin and Northwest debuted in 2004. Aeroflot's safety and service have improved tremendously to western standards. This schedule depicts the late 1990s "Delta-esque" livery
