Delta promoted its Convair 880s in it's 1962 schedule. The 1962 map shows route patterns still prevalent today with a hub at Altanta and extensive services at Dallas Love. Delta's international routes originated with DC-8-21s at New Orleans to Venezuela, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico. Services to Cuba were abandoned due to the Revolution. It was in the early 60s that Delta was awarded its routes to the West Coast including LAX-Atlanta non-stops. The widget logo was introduced in 1961.
