Air Canada was the flag carrier of Canada, yet it split international routes with Alberta based CP-Air. Air Canada's international services consisted of Europe, the Eastern U.S., and the Carribbean while CP Air served the Western U.S., Asia, and Hawaii. 727s, DC-8s and DC-9s comprised the balance of the fleet at the time. 747s would come on-line within a year.
