Former Astronaut Frank Borman was a controversial figure as President of Eastern. He presided over the move to Miami and major growth in the 1970s but was despised by the unions and it was on his watch that the dreaded Frank Lorenzo took control of Eastern. Many felt that Borman's tenure was the beginning of the end of the Great Silver Fleet.
