My day job happened to coincide with my passion when my network, TLC commissioned a 3-part series on the building of the Airbus A-380. The first installment premiered in June, 2004. We were extremely honored to have fellow aviation enthusiast John Travolta host our show. Most enthusiasts are aware of his passion for the field, especially for Qantas, and that he is a licensed pilot on many types including the 747-400 and the 707 of which he owns one. His passion and knowledge extends well past the cockpit. He has an encyclopedic memory of fleets, routes, airlines, and airline history. Beyond that, he is an extremely down-to-earth and wonderful person. In my 3 hours, I spent with him filming he was incredibly gracious and generous of his time. We shot these images at Dallas Love Field in April, 2004. Once complete we all went airborne for an hour of manuevers on the Frontier Airlines provided sports charter A-320.
