In the words of owner, Phil Montejano: "It took about four months to get all the parts, acquired and repaired. The hand painted on the markings, esp the Astroliner markings on the front of the forward fuselage was not easy. Also, the cockpits windows were hand painted as well. It took about 5 months to getting around to completing the model."
