RSW serves the fast growing Southwest coast of Florida, located off of I-75 between Naples and Ft. Myers. When it opened in 1983 as Southwest Florida Regional Airport, RSW replaced Page Field in Ft. Myers as the regions commercial airport. International service is limited to Canada via Air Canada and WestJet, Germany via LTU, and charters. The current terminal opened on September 9, 2005 replacing the 23 year old former terminal. There are currently 3 concourse open (B, C, and D) but expansion to add concourses A and E is in the works likely following the 2010 opening of the 2nd runway.
