Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is the chief international airport for Savannah, GA though 40% of its traffic is destined for the tourist destination of Hilton Head, South Carolina. This compact terminal is quite attractive with its "main mall" security area and fifteen-gate concourse which was first constructed in 1994 and expanded in 2007. It is served by is served by Delta, Delta Connection airlines ASA and Comair; Continental Express, United Express, US Airways, Vision Airways, and American Eagle. Delta and US Airways are the only mainline carriers operating here with service to their hubs in Atlanta and Charlotte respectively. SAV is noteworthy as the location of the Gulfstream Aircraft manufacturing plant.
