Mexico City Benito Juarez International Airport Terminal Photos and History - Mexico City, MexicoMexico City International Airport, also known as Benito Juarez International Airport, is the busiest airport in Mexico. This hemmed in, compact airport serves over 25 million passengers a year with further expansions planned to boost that number. It is the hub for AeroMexico and Mexicana. At over 5000 feet in altitude, MEX is regarded as a "hot and high" airport, impacting aircraft performance and sometimes passenger loads. MEX is served by 2 terminals: Domestic T1 (except AeroMexico), originally built in 1958 but expanded countless times; and the unique International T2 (all AeroMexico flights), which was built in 2007. MEX is known for its exceptional planespotting facilities.
