Heathrows 1970's futuristic Terminal 1 departure lounges. At Heathrow, all UK and Ireland flights were concentrated regardless of airline, at T-1. However, with the opening of BA's new T5 in March, 2008, T-1 is becoming the temporary hub for Star Alliance carriers. They will eventually move to the new Heathrow East complex when the first phase is scheduled to be completed in 2012.
