BA Concorde

British Airways formerly positioned this model of an almost full-scale Concorde in its Takeoff Roll at the entrance of Heathrow. Virgin's Richard Branson once infuriated BA when he posed as a pirate in front of the BA Concorde and covered the tail in a Virgin logo. The publicity stunt made the front page of all the papers. This was replaced in the 2006, by an Emirates Airbus A380. BA operated 7 Concordes, with scheduled service from Heathrow to JFK and Barbados. Washington D.C. flights were discontinued some years back. All Concorde service finally ended in October, 2003.
