British Airways, along with Eastern, was the launch customer way back in 1983 for the 757-200. As the 757 production is wound down, BA is reorganizing its regional operation around the Airbus A320s. The 757 was the first Boeing airliner launched with a non-U.S. powerplant, the Rolls Royce RB-211.
