Owing to difficult financial conditions, the rocketing price of fuel, a slowing economy, and predatory competition with Mesa owned, GO! Aloha sadly shut down its passenger operations in March, 2008 after 60 years of flying. Not only was this the end of a proud airline, but also of Boeing 737-200 scheduled service in the United States.
