Besides New York, Barbados was the only regularly scheduled destination for BAs Concorde fleet. The airline flew a once-weekly Saturday flight from Heathrow for affluent vacationers. This example is permanently loaned to GIA, arriving on November 23, 2003-the penultimate flight of Concorde. This custom built hanger, built for a future museum, suffered roof damage during the 2004 Hurricane Season though the Speedbird escaped unharmed. As of January 2005, the plane wasn't open to the public.
