Welcome Aboard
Welcome | About Airchive
There are many excellent aviation websites, and then there's Airchive - The Webseum of Commerical Aviation. Airchive is the most exhaustive collection of timetables, memorabilia, museums, airport tours, and scrapped planes on the web. Founded in 2003, Airchive.com is built around the private memorabilia and photo collection of Chris Sloan, based in Miami Beach, Florida. Airchive is lucky to also feature contributions from a number of fellow enthusiasts. The site is updated 4-5 times per year.
In Summer, 2008; 5 years after its launch Airchive.com launched a new and improved interface. This is just the beginning as we hope to add social network and web 2.0 features next.
ADVERTISE WITH US
Airchive boasts over 100,000 visitors each month. If you'd like to advertise to our enthusiastic community, please email chris.sloan@2cmedia.com or call 305-672-8229 X11. As this site is basically created out of passion and has real hard costs: building the collection, travel for photography, site serving, programming and of course writing the editorial content, your advertising helps to support this resource.

ABOUT CHRIS SLOAN, THE WEBMASTER
By day I am the president/owner of a television / internet production company, 2C Media, based in Miami Beach, Florida. You can find out more about us at 2cmedia.com. By nights and weekends, I am an airline aficionado. I have followed every facet of the airline and commercial aircraft industry since I was 5 years old. After many years, I began collecting again in 1994. I have an extensive collection of maps, timetables, models, paraphernalia, china, glasses, and even a desk made from the wing of the L1011 prototype. I have derived so much enjoyment from my collection and from surfing many of the excellent sites out there that I decided to share some of it with the Planespotting World. One day, I aspire to start a "bricks and mortar" museum that even R.E.G. Davies would be proud of. In the meantime, I hope you'll enjoy my "Webseum". I'd appreciate any feedback and/or corrections you can provide. I have tried to be as factual as possible with the information and photos. This site is dedicated to my wife lovely wife Carla and beautiful son Calder. I hope you enjoy Airchive as much as I enjoy bringing it to you.
